This signature space for the resort is designed around a focal point pagoda, which serves as a visual connector to the Famous TaiHu, The Great Lake a few miles away. The pagoda can be ascended to view the lake. Additionally, the interior courtyard serves dual purposes--as a plaza for outdoor activity when dry and as a mini lake filled by a water system connected to the adjacent river. The artificial lake mimics the Great Lake, providing a reflected experience. The building planning and architectural motifs represent an integration of modern simplicity and classical roots of traditional Chinese architecture.
